Kid-friendly course geared towards kids and their parent/caregiver. Learn a classic recipe with your child, beginning with education on local grains and ending with a finished product to take home. Ages 3-8.
Second course: Fruit Hand Pies (vegan)
Caregiver and child will learn about wheat grains and local fruit from Chef Cat. Together we will make our own hand pie filling, roll out Little Rye pie dough and fill squares with our fruit filling. While the hand pies bake, the group will enjoy snack and story-time with Ms. Leda. Each pair will go home with their freshly baked hand pies, a little baker certificate and copies of the recipe!
Ticket purchase includes entry for 1 child and 1 adult chaperone.
All classes take place at the Rye & Rec Room, 35 Bruyn Ave, Kingston, NY.
Chef Cat is the owner/ pie lady at The Little Rye Bakehouse and Ms. Leda is a baker and school teacher.
