This is where the real magic happens—bakery magic. Sweet smells of salted maple pie, and miso peanut butter cookies waft through the air on any given day of the week. The talented Little Rye kitchen witches prep and produce the products that head out the doors and make their way to the display case at Our Bakehouse, farmer’s market stands and the shelves of our wholesale accounts across the Hudson Valley.

PIE DOUGH 101 class
Learn how to prep, mix and roll a flakey all-butter pie dough. Class includes a copy of our signature all-butter crust recipe and 2 crusts for you to take home. Extra snacks and coffee/tea provided.

Mini & Me class:
Baking Classics
Kid-friendly course geared towards kids and their parent/caregiver. Learn a classic recipe with your child, beginning with education on local grains and ending with a finished product to take home. Ages 2-8.

First course: Whole Rye Brownie
Caregiver and child will learn about rye grains from Chef Cat and make a delicious chocolate-y dessert together with fresh milled flour. While the brownies bake, the group will enjoy snack and story-time with Ms. Leda. Each pair will go home with their freshly baked brownies, a little baker certificate and copies of the recipe!
Ticket purchase includes entry for 1 child and 1 adult chaperone.
All classes take place at the Rye & Rec Room, 35 Bruyn Ave, Kingston, NY.
Chef Cat is the owner/ pie lady at The Little Rye Bakehouse and Ms. Leda is a baker and school teacher.
